Zoe Community is a faith-based Irish non-profit organisation that seeks to equip communities to support women in crisis pregnancy. We also want to help women find the help they need right in their own communities.

We will be marketing our upcoming services specifically to women who are going through unplanned pregnancy but prefer not to seek termination as an option. Our volunteers will not offer referral for termination, but will continue to be a comforting presence for women who may choose termination. Our volunteers will be trained in giving non-directive responses to women in crisis pregnancy. The training will also include the following topics:

– Understanding our own biases

– Active listening skills

– Understanding and responding to “shame culture”

– Biology of female reproduction, foetal development, and common pregnancy needs

– and more!

Zoe Community has at its core a Christian ethos, but is welcoming to all of any background. We also have a “pro-life” ethos, however, we are not involved whatsoever in political discussion. Our goal is to support women and help them know that they are stronger than they realise. We want to see an Ireland that is welcoming to pregnant and parenting women.
